Cowboys WR George Pickens given $26,085 unsportsmanlike conduct fine for hugging goal post after touchdown

George Pickens, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, fined $26,085 for unsportsmanlike conduct after hugging goal post following touchdown

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens was fined $26,085 by the NFL for jumping onto the goal post as part of a touchdown celebration in their Week 11 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. This is Pickens’ fifth fine of the season for unsportsmanlike conduct or taunting. The league cited “use of a prop” as the reason for this fine, which is larger than a second offense fine. Pickens and fellow receiver CeeDee Lamb were benched to start the game due to missing curfew while getting dinner and drinks at a casino in Las Vegas. Pickens finished the game with a team-leading 144 receiving yards.
