New York Jets player Kris Boyd in critical condition following gunshot wound to abdomen
New York Jets player Kris Boyd was hospitalized in critical condition after being shot in the abdomen in the early hours of Sunday morning. The incident occurred outside a restaurant in Midtown, with a suspect fleeing the scene in a BMW X8 SUV. Boyd, a cornerback, was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2019 and has also played for the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals before joining the Jets in March. He has not played this season due to a shoulder injury. Boyd has faced adversity in his life, losing his father and grandmother, but maintains a positive outlook. The Jets have also recently mourned the loss of former player Nick Mangold and Cowboys player Marshawn Kneeland.
