Jahmyr Gibbs nearing Barry Sanders’ NFL record for most touchdowns by age 24
23-year-old Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs is close to breaking Hall of Famer Barry Sanders’ record of 47 touchdowns before turning 24. Gibbs has scored 41 touchdowns in his NFL career so far and has the rest of the season to score seven more and surpass Sanders. If Gibbs scores a touchdown against the Eagles, he will tie Jim Brown for the fourth-most touchdowns before the age of 24. Following Brown are Randy Moss and Emmitt Smith, each with 43 touchdowns before turning 24. Gibbs has the potential to make history and be mentioned alongside the legendary Sanders as a top Lions running back.
