Trade for Jaire Alexander boosts Eagles’ secondary with additional help
The Philadelphia Eagles have been working to strengthen their secondary ahead of the NFL trade deadline, acquiring cornerback Jaire Alexander from the Baltimore Ravens. This is their second addition at the position this week, following Michael Carter II from the New York Jets. In the trade agreement, the Eagles sent a 2026 sixth-round pick to Baltimore in exchange for Alexander. The Eagles were in need of depth at cornerback, particularly at the No. 2 outside corner position. They are hoping that Alexander, a former two-time Pro Bowl selection with the Green Bay Packers, can help bolster their defense despite being limited to two games this season with the Ravens.
