NCS flag football: Undefeated Cardinal Newman progresses to Division 2 semifinals
Cardinal Newman defeated Novato 40-7 in the Division 2 playoffs with Nicole Hayeems throwing five touchdowns, four to her sister Naiomi. Hannah Maida and Juliet Diehl also contributed to the win. Cardinal Newman remains undefeated at 22-0 and is the last local flag football team in the playoffs. They will face Arroyo in the semifinals for a chance to advance to the Division 2 title game.
