Daboll, Giants, and Skattebo fined for Dart exam violations
The New York Giants, coach Brian Daboll, and running back Cam Skattebo have been fined for violating the concussion protocol during a Week 6 game. The Giants were fined $200,000, Daboll $100,000, and Skattebo $15,000 for conduct detrimental to the league. After rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart was evaluated for a concussion, Daboll and Skattebo entered the medical tent, creating a perception of interference. Although they did not impact the exam, their actions violated the protocol. The NFL and NFL Players Association conducted an investigation, concluding that the medical staff followed the protocol correctly. Daboll apologized and stated he respects the process.
