Former NFL player Doug Martin passes away at the age of 36 following alleged confrontation with law enforcement
Former NFL All-Pro running back and Boise State star Doug Martin has passed away at the age of 36. The cause of death is currently unconfirmed, but reports indicate he died while in Oakland police custody after a reported home break-in. Martin had a successful career, predominantly with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, earning multiple Pro Bowl selections and setting records. Despite injuries, Martin remained consistent in his performance, rushing for over 400 yards each season. He also had a brief stint with the Oakland Raiders in 2018. Martin leaves behind a legacy at both the professional and collegiate levels, as one of the all-time greats for Boise State.
