Bowlens’ family expresses disappointment after being excluded from Broncos’ gala

The family of former owner Pat Bowlen was excluded from the 10th anniversary celebrations of Super Bowl 50 and Demaryius Thomas’ addition to the ring of fame. Bowlen’s children were not invited to the events, with two of his daughters expressing disappointment. Bowlen, who led the Broncos to three Super Bowl wins, had Alzheimer’s disease and passed away in 2019. The new owners, the Walton-Penner group, value events with former players. The Broncos will honor Bowlen and others who have passed during the celebration.
