Brees and Fitzgerald Among Top Nominees for 2026 Hall of Fame
Quarterback Drew Brees and receiver Larry Fitzgerald have been nominated as first-year nominees for the 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame class. They are two of the most prolific producers in NFL history, with Brees ranking second in yards passing and touchdowns, and Fitzgerald ranking second in career receptions and yards receiving. Eleven other first-year nominees were also selected among the 128 modern-era nominees for this year’s class. The selection committee will reduce the candidates to 50 in October, then to 25, and finally to the 15 finalists, who will be voted on before the Super Bowl in February. Brees and Fitzgerald are the top new candidates this year.
