Heyward and Steelers Reach Agreement on Revised Deal
Brooke Pryor, a reporter for NFL Nation at ESPN, covers the Pittsburgh Steelers. Before joining ESPN, she covered the Kansas City Chiefs and the University of Oklahoma. Prior to the Steelers’ season opener against the New York Jets, defensive captain Cam Heyward signed a reworked contract with over $3 million in incentives for the year. This allows Heyward to earn up to $18 million in 2025. The Steelers broke precedents by offering incentives to Heyward, a departure from their usual treatment of quarterbacks. Heyward had a brief contract dispute during training camp but ultimately returned to practice and will play against the Jets.
