Micah Parsons opts for unusual Packers jersey number not seen in nearly a century
Micah Parsons, the newest member of the Green Bay Packers, held a news conference following his trade from the Dallas Cowboys. During the conference, Parsons announced that he plans to wear the No. 1 jersey, which had been unofficially retired in honor of Curly Lambeau, the founder, coach, and former player of the Packers over 100 years ago. Lambeau last wore the jersey in 1929 before focusing on coaching and management.
