Cowboys Sign Cornerback Daron Bland to Extension Following Trade of Micah Parsons
The Dallas Cowboys traded Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers for draft picks and signed cornerback Daron Bland to a four-year, $92 million extension. With Parsons gone, the Cowboys can focus on keeping key players like Bland, who led the NFL in interceptions and touchdowns in 2023. Bland, a third-round pick in 2022, was a first-team All-Pro in 2023 but had limited play time in the previous season. The Cowboys also signed tight end Jake Ferguson to an extension. Parsons will be the highest-paid non-quarterback player with the Packers. The Cowboys aim to maintain their defensive success despite recent changes.
