Blake Ferguson signed by Texans
The Texans have signed long snapper Blake Ferguson, who was previously with the Dolphins. Ferguson was a sixth-round pick in 2020 and spent most of last season on the non-football injury list before being released by Miami. The Texans waived tight end Tre’ McKitty to make room for Ferguson. With only undrafted rookie Austin Brinkman as the other long snapper on the roster, the Texans made the move to add experience to the position. This comes after parting ways with longtime long snapper Jon Weeks earlier in the offseason. Ferguson has played in 72 games and had eight tackles and a fumble recovery during his time with the Dolphins.
