Titans’ Ward grateful for increased playing time despite difficult performance
Turron Davenport covers the Tennessee Titans for ESPN and is a former football player and author. In the Titans’ second preseason game, rookie quarterback Cameron Ward struggled with only two completions for 42 yards. Despite a rough start, coach Brian Callahan gave Ward an additional series to gain more reps. Ward highlighted the absence of starting receivers Calvin Ridley and Tyler Lockett but praised their competition in practice. The Titans wrapped up a successful week of joint practices and are looking forward to finishing the preseason against the Minnesota Vikings. Ward is focused on improving each week and building connections with his teammates.
