Cowboys Place G Jones on Injured Reserve, Ruling Him Out for Season

Dallas Cowboys guard Rob Jones’ first season with the team has come to an end after suffering a broken bone in his neck during training camp. The Cowboys placed Jones on injured reserve, ending his season and giving him a two- to three-month recovery period. Jones was signed to a one-year deal worth $3.75 million, with $3 million guaranteed, and was likely going to back up rookie Tyler Booker at right guard. To fill Jones’ roster spot, the Cowboys signed running back Malik Davis. With injuries to other running backs, the Cowboys are now left with only three fully healthy runners on the team.
