Philadelphia makes a trade in NFC East news, as New York releases early depth chart
The Eagles traded defensive tackle Thomas Booker IV to the Raiders to acquire cornerback Jakorian Bennett. Head coach Nick Sirianni praised General Manager Howie Roseman for continually trying to improve the team’s depth and felt confident about the move. Bennett, a 24-year-old fourth-round pick from Maryland, started seven games for the Raiders last season before a shoulder injury. The Eagles have been evaluating their options at cornerback during training camp, with a close competition between Adoree’ Jackson and Kelee Ringo for the starting job opposite Quinyon Mitchell. Bennett was present at practice with the Eagles and will wear No. 49 once he starts practicing.
