Steelers rookie quarterback injured at an unfortunate moment
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie quarterback Will Howard left practice early due to an unknown injury just before his preseason debut. Despite being listed as the team’s No. 3 passer on the initial depth chart, Howard was making a strong impression during training camp. However, he must now recover quickly to secure a spot on the 53-man roster. Skylar Thompson took over third-team reps in Howard’s absence. Howard, a Pennsylvania native and Ohio State graduate, is a fan favorite. He will need to perform well in the preseason to solidify his spot on the team or potentially face being waived.
