Haslam downplays Manning rumors at Arch Madness
Daniel Oyefusi, covering the Cleveland Browns for ESPN, reported that co-owner Jimmy Haslam dismissed rumors of targeting Arch Manning in the 2026 NFL draft. Haslam, a Tennessee alumnus with ties to the Manning family, suggested Arch would stay in college for two years. Arch Manning, currently a full-time starter, avoided questions about going pro at SEC media days. Haslam also denied influencing the selection of quarterback Shedeur Sanders in the 2025 NFL draft, crediting general manager Andrew Berry. The Browns traded up to pick Sanders in the fifth round, following another quarterback selection earlier in the draft. Haslam emphasized the team’s decision-making process and Berry’s autonomy.
