Fins sign CB Jones following Burns injury
The Miami Dolphins are signing cornerback Jack Jones following Artie Burns tearing his ACL. Jones started for the Las Vegas Raiders last season and was released in April. The Dolphins needed a cornerback after Burns’ injury and also signed Cornell Armstrong. Jones had a successful 2024 season with the Raiders but struggled in some aspects. He was claimed off waivers by the Raiders in 2023 after being released by the Patriots. Jones, 27, has seven interceptions, 27 passes defended, and 136 tackles in his NFL career. Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel expressed confidence in the team’s current cornerbacks but is always looking to improve.
