Jets quarterback Justin Fields carted off field with injured toe, to undergo MRI as team gathers more information
New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields suffered a toe injury during training camp and was carted off the field. The injury is not believed to be a fracture, but Fields will undergo an MRI for further evaluation. Despite having an experienced backup in Tyrod Taylor, the Jets are hopeful that Fields will be able to recover and continue as their starting quarterback for the upcoming season. Fields signed a two-year, $40 million deal with the Jets after a brief stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team is prepared to explore other options if Fields’ injury proves to be more serious than initially thought.
