Mark McNamee Joins Green Bay Packers Roster Prior to NFL Season
Irish kicker Mark McNamee has signed with the Green Bay Packers in the NFL, after participating in the International Player Pathway program and the NFL Combine. McNamee previously played Gaelic football for Ballyboden St Endas and spent time with the BC Lions in the CFL before joining the Packers. He is the second Irish player on the team, alongside Dan Whelan. Additionally, there are now four Irish kickers or punters in the NFL. The Packers have a history of success, with 13 NFL championships, including four Super Bowl victories.
