Bengals sign three players and release two others shortly before the start of training camp.
The Bengals signed quarterback Desmond Ridder after a workout that included C.J. Beathard and Tyler Huntley. Logan Woodside was released, opening up a potential QB2 role for Ridder. Offensive guard Tashawn Manning was also waived. The team added veteran defensive tackle Taven Bryan and defensive tackle McTelvin Agim for defensive help. Bryan has had ups and downs in his career, while Agim has struggled to make a roster in recent years. Center Andrew Raym was also added to the roster for depth. Ridder’s signing and the defensive additions come amidst uncertainty surrounding Shemar Stewart.
