Fireworks Incident injures Chargers RB Najee Harris
Najee Harris sustained a superficial eye injury during a Fourth of July fireworks mishap but is expected to be ready for the upcoming NFL season. There were rumors about the incident, but Harris avoided a serious injury, unlike other individuals who were hurt. The incident brings to mind Jason Pierre-Paul’s hand injury in 2015. Harris, previously a Steelers player, joined the Chargers this offseason. While not meeting first-round expectations, he has topped 1,000 rushing yards each of his four NFL seasons. Harris is expected to lead the Chargers’ running back room in 2025, despite the addition of first-round pick Omarion Hampton from North Carolina.
