Cowboys All-Pro Kick Returner Turpin Arrested on Two Charges
Dallas Cowboys kick returner KaVontae Turpin was arrested for possession of marijuana and carrying a weapon. He was released on $1,500 bond. Turpin signed a three-year, $18 million extension with the Cowboys in March and led the NFL in return average in his first year. He scored a touchdown against the Washington Commanders and became the only player in the league last season with kick and punt return touchdowns. Turpin also became the first Cowboy to have punt, kickoff, and receiving touchdowns in one season. He caught 31 passes for 420 yards and two scores, including a 64-yarder.
