Browns release pass rusher Okoronkwo after two-year stint
On June 26, 2025, the Cleveland Browns released defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo with one year left on his contract. Okoronkwo expressed gratitude to the team and fans in a social media post. In his two seasons with the Browns, he had 7.5 sacks, 54 tackles, and a forced fumble in 30 games. Originally drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 2018, Okoronkwo has a total of 17 sacks in six seasons. The Browns signed kicker Andre Szmyt as a corresponding move.
