Caleb Williams Attempts to Avoid Being Drafted by Bears in 2024, Reportedly Wants to Play for Another Team
The Chicago Bears have never had a quarterback throw for 4,000 or more passing yards in a single season in their 105 seasons in the NFL. Current franchise passer Caleb Williams considered avoiding being drafted by the Bears, as his father stated that Chicago is “the place quarterbacks go to die.” Williams ended up being drafted by the Bears and had a chaotic rookie year, being left alone to watch film without guidance from the coaching staff. Despite this, he still threw for over 3,500 yards and joined a small group of rookies to reach 4,000 total yards with few interceptions. Williams now looks forward to development under new Bears head coach Ben Johnson.
