Report: Oakland Raiders Planning to Trade or Release Jack Jones
The Raiders are parting ways with cornerback Jack Jones, either through a trade or release. Jones, acquired off waivers in 2023, had a successful run with the team in 2023 and 2024. He reunited with former coach Antonio Pierce, who coached him in high school and college. In his time with the Raiders, Jones recorded seven interceptions, returning four for touchdowns. Despite his success, the team will save $3.4 million against the cap by releasing him. The Patriots originally drafted Jones in 2022. The team is currently working on finding a trade partner for Jones before considering releasing him on Monday.
