Former New England Patriots Super Bowl champion Matt Stevens passes away at 51
Former New England Patriots player Matt Stevens, part of the 2001 Super Bowl-winning team, passed away at the age of 51. A third-round pick for the Buffalo Bills in 1996, Stevens played in the NFL for eight seasons with various teams. He was a two-time All-American safety at Appalachian State before his NFL career. Stevens was paralyzed in a motorcycle accident in 2007 but regained some mobility with the help of a wearable exoskeleton. He is survived by his parents, brother, and children.
