Russell Wilson set to start after officially signing with a new team
Russell Wilson has signed a one-year, $21M contract with the New York Giants, making it his third team in as many seasons. The deal includes $10.5M guaranteed and signifies that Wilson will likely be the Giants’ starting quarterback in 2025. By signing Wilson, the Giants have likely taken themselves out of the running for Aaron Rodgers. Wilson had also talked with the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers. The Giants still have the option to draft a quarterback with the No. 3 overall pick as they view Wilson as a possible bridge option while developing a younger player at the position.
