The Ravens are adding QB Rush as Lamar’s new backup
Jamison Hensley, a reporter covering the Baltimore Ravens for ESPN, announced that the Ravens have signed former Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush as their new backup for Lamar Jackson. The two-year contract has a maximum value of $12.2 million with $4.2 million guaranteed. Rush has a strong record as a backup, going 9-5 behind Dak Prescott. He posted career highs in yards and touchdowns in 2024 and has shown reliability and minimal mistakes. Rush originally signed with the Cowboys in 2017 as an undrafted free agent and has thrown for 3,463 yards with 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in his career.
