Report: Rams allow QB Matthew Stafford to communicate with other teams
The Los Angeles Rams have allowed quarterback Matthew Stafford’s camp to discuss his contract with other NFL teams to gauge his value. Stafford has two seasons left on a four-year, $160 million deal and is 15th among active NFL quarterbacks in terms of salary. While the Rams have not officially requested a trade, other teams, particularly the New York Giants, are interested in acquiring Stafford. The Giants had a poor season and are in need of a quarterback after benching Daniel Jones. Stafford spent the majority of his career with the Detroit Lions before joining the Rams in 2021.
