Bears Selecting Doyle as Offensive Coordinator and Allen as Defensive Coordinator
Courtney Cronin, hired by ESPN in 2017, covers sports, hosts shows, and co-hosts a podcast for the Chicago Bears. Ben Johnson, the new Bears head coach, has appointed Declan Doyle as offensive coordinator, Dennis Allen as defensive coordinator, and Richard Hightower as special teams coordinator. Johnson will continue to call offensive plays. Allen, a former Saints head coach, was chosen for his successful defenses and connections in the league. Hightower, with 19 years of NFL experience, remains special teams coordinator for the Bears. Several coaches from the 2024 staff were not retained. Johnson emphasized the need for detail-oriented and organized coordinators to assist in game planning.
