Brant Boyer hired as special teams coordinator for the 49ers
The 49ers have hired Brant Boyer as their new special teams coordinator, replacing Brian Schneider. Boyer previously spent nine seasons with the Jets in the same role and worked under Robert Saleh for the last four seasons. Saleh was recently hired as the 49ers’ defensive coordinator. Boyer played in the NFL for ten years and began his coaching career as an intern with the Browns in 2009. He has also worked for the Giants and Colts before his stint with the Jets. The 49ers are excited to have Boyer on board to lead their special teams unit.
