Texans reportedly part ways with offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik after 2 seasons following divisional-round appearance

The Houston Texans have fired offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik and offensive line coach Chris Strausser in a surprise shakeup. Slowik, who joined the team in 2023, was let go after the team’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC divisional round. Despite reaching the playoffs, the Texans’ offense has been inconsistent, with quarterback C.J. Stroud facing frequent sacks. Slowik’s dismissal is unexpected, as the team had shown improvement under him and head coach DeMeco Ryans. Slowik had previously interviewed for head coaching positions, including with the New York Jets.
