Jets finalize interview with Ron Rivera for head coaching position
The Jets have interviewed Ron Rivera for their head coaching position, previously leading the Commanders and Panthers with several playoff appearances and accolades. Rivera also has experience as a defensive coordinator for the Chargers and Bears. Jets chairman Woody Johnson is overseeing the search, with support from The 33rd Team for candidate identification and interview coordination. Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich and General Manager Phil Savage are currently in place. Rivera, 62, started his coaching career with the Bears and later served as the Eagles linebackers coach under current Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.
