Shanahan hints at imminent departure of Campbell from 49ers
San Francisco 49ers linebacker De’Vondre Campbell has played his last game for the team after not playing in Thursday night’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams which angered coach Kyle Shanahan. Shanahan made it clear that Campbell’s actions were unacceptable and that he will not be a part of the team moving forward. Campbell had signed a one-year contract with the Niners in March, playing 12 games with 79 tackles, but his refusal to play in the game led to his impending departure. The team will likely need to add another linebacker to the roster as they move on from Campbell.
