Mike Evans injury: Buccaneers star WR ruled out after re-aggravating hamstring injury on TD drop vs. Ravens

Buccaneers’ Mike Evans ruled out after re-aggravating hamstring injury on dropped touchdown against Ravens

Mike Evans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers scored his 100th career receiving touchdown but injured his hamstring in the same game against the Baltimore Ravens. Despite not practicing much leading up to the game due to the injury, Evans still played. He appeared to initially tweak his hamstring on the touchdown play. The injury worsened on a deep ball from quarterback Baker Mayfield, causing Evans to drop the ball and grab his hamstring in pain. This forced him to sit out the rest of the game. The decision to play despite the injury may not have been the best choice in hindsight.
