Team owners decide to return Super Bowl to Atlanta
The Super Bowl will return to Atlanta in 2028 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, marking the fourth time the championship game is played in Atlanta. Falcons owner Arthur M. Blank expressed gratitude for the opportunity, emphasizing the honor and the city’s capability to host major sports events. The first two Super Bowls in Atlanta were at the Georgia Dome in 1994 and 2000. The upcoming Super Bowls are set to take place in New Orleans, California, and then return to Atlanta in 2028.
