Raiders HC tight-lipped over NCAA report on his recruiting violations

Raiders Head Coach Stays Silent on NCAA Report Regarding Recruiting Violations

Antonio Pierce, a former assistant coach at Arizona State under Herm Edwards, joined the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022 and quickly became the head coach in 2023. Both Pierce and Edwards were implicated in recruiting violations, as detailed in a recent NCAA report. Pierce was accused of organizing improper visits with recruits during a COVID-19 dead period, resulting in a one-year postseason bowl ban for the school. Pierce received an eight-year show-cause order from the NCAA, but this is irrelevant as he is now in the NFL. There is speculation about potential NFL penalties for Pierce following the report’s release. ASU will not face further punishment after self-imposing sanctions in previous years.
