Browns lose key pass-rush threat for remainder of season

Browns’ key pass-rush threat out for the season

Cleveland Browns defensive end Alex Wright will miss the rest of the season due to a triceps injury that requires surgery. He first experienced the injury during summer practices and continued to play through it until a partial tear was discovered. Despite a drop in playing time, Wright had a strong performance in the previous season. With Wright out, the team will rely on Myles Garrett, Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, and Za’Darius Smith for pass rushing. Young players like Isaiah McGuire and Sam Kamara may also see increased roles. The team’s depth in the pass-rush department has been impacted, but they hope for Wright’s return in 2025.
