Sources: KC’s Brown expected out until January

Sources indicate that Brown from KC will likely be out until January.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is expected to miss the regular season due to a shoulder injury that requires surgery. There is a possibility he could return for the postseason, but not before mid-January. Chiefs coach Andy Reid anticipates Brown being out for “months” rather than “weeks” due to the sternoclavicular injury. Brown sustained the injury during the Chiefs’ first preseason game in August. Despite making progress in rehab, a recent check revealed the need for surgery. Brown, who joined the Chiefs as a major offseason free agent signing, had his best season in 2021 with the Ravens.
