The San Francisco 49ers will be without star running back Christian McCaffrey for another week due to calf and Achilles issues. He will miss the Week 2 game against the Minnesota Vikings after also sitting out Week 1. Head coach Kyle Shanahan mentioned McCaffrey’s increased pain level and the possibility of him going on injured reserve. In McCaffrey’s absence, Jordan Mason is expected to start after a standout performance in Week 1, where he rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown.
