KC’s Humphrey Becomes Highest-Paid Center
Creed Humphrey agreed to a four-year, $72 million contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs, making him the highest-paid center in NFL history. The deal includes $50 million in guarantees. Humphrey, who joined the team in 2021, has been a solid pass protector and ranked second in the NFL among interior offensive linemen in pass block win rate in 2023. Chiefs coach Andy Reid praised Humphrey’s performance, while general manager Brett Veach expressed excitement about extending his career with the team. Humphrey’s teammate, guard Trey Smith, is also a vital part of the Chiefs’ offensive line entering the final season of his contract.
