Jets coach Robert Saleh plans to sit Aaron Rodgers during preseason
Aaron Rodgers might not play in any of the New York Jets’ preseason games this summer, according to Coach Robert Saleh. However, there is a possibility he could see action in the finale against the Giants on Aug. 24. Rodgers, who has not played since injuring his Achilles tendon last year, will not play in the first two preseason games. Saleh sees value in joint practices against preseason opponents for player preparation. Rodgers typically did not play in preseason games during his final years in Green Bay but did play in the Jets’ finale last summer. The Jets open the regular season against the San Francisco 49ers on Sept. 9.
