Cowboys lose key pass rusher Sam Williams for season with torn ACL, MCL

Cowboys’ season takes a hit as key pass rusher Sam Williams out with torn ACL and MCL

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Sam Williams will miss the upcoming season due to a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee sustained during practice. Williams, a promising third-year player, was expected to take on a bigger role in the Cowboys pass rush after the departure of key defenders in free agency. Williams had a solid rookie season with four sacks and 22 tackles, followed by 4.5 sacks and 26 tackles as a reserve last season. This setback will force the Cowboys to look elsewhere for support in the pass rush as they navigate through training camp without Williams.
