Cowboys’ pass rusher Sam Williams tears ACL at training camp practice, out for season, per report

Report: Cowboys’ pass rusher Sam Williams suffers ACL tear at training camp, sidelined for entire season

The Dallas Cowboys are facing financial concerns with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb seeking new deals. In addition to this, former Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate Sam Williams tore his ACL during training camp practice. Williams, a key pass rusher for the Cowboys, suffered the injury during special teams drills. With Williams out, the team will need to depend more on DeMarcus Lawrence, who has been a staple of the Cowboys’ defense. Lawrence, who has not had double-digit sacks since 2018, will need to step up in Williams’ absence to help bolster the pass rush.
