Pack optimistic as love will not practice without a deal
Rob Demovsky is covering the Green Bay Packers and their negotiations with quarterback Jordan Love on a contract extension. Love is currently not participating in practice or games until a deal is finalized. The team’s general manager is confident that an agreement will be reached soon. In the meantime, the Packers are relying on backup quarterbacks Sean Clifford and rookie Michael Pratt for practice reps. Love had a successful season last year, throwing for over 4,000 yards and leading the team to the playoffs. He is expected to sign a lucrative contract extension that would make him one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league.
