All-Pro WR signs extension with Saints
The New Orleans Saints have extended wide receiver and kick returner Rashid Shaheed with a one-year, $5.2 million contract. Shaheed had an outstanding season, making the Pro Bowl and earning First-Team All-Pro honors. He had 723 total return yards, 719 receiving yards, and six touchdowns last season. As an exclusive rights free agent, the Saints were only required to offer him a minimum salary, but chose to reward him with a significant contract extension.
