Matthew Judon rejects report that he will not play on current contract
Patriots linebacker Matt Judon denies reports that he will refuse to play without a new contract. He clarified on social media that he did not make such a statement and doesn’t want to be portrayed as a villain. Judon skipped voluntary offseason workouts but attended mandatory minicamp and appears willing to fulfill his obligations under his current contract. He is expected to report to training camp in July. Judon’s base salary for 2024 is $6.5 million, and if he plays out his contract, he will become a free agent in 2025. Whether he will practice without a new contract remains uncertain.
