ESPYS honor Staley, Gleason, and Prince Harry
The ESPYS celebrated a landmark year for women’s sports, with Serena Williams hosting and honorees including Simone Biles, A’ja Wilson, Caitlin Clark, Dawn Staley, and JuJu Watkins. Staley won the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance for her support for equality in women’s sports and cancer advocacy. Wilson won best women’s sports athlete. Biles earned best comeback athlete. Clark won for record-breaking performance and best college athlete. Watkins won best breakthrough athlete. Prince Harry received the Pat Tillman Award for Service, and Steve Gleason received the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage. Other winners included Shohei Ohtani, Connor McDavid, Luka Doncic, and Patrick Mahomes.
